Among all the works and assignments I did in High School, most are buried in some dusty box, or unworthy of public display. However, from those that survive to this day on my hard drive, two keep a place in my memory, for the time and dedication I spent working on them, and good results (for the time) that came about. I've uploaded both to scribd.com; the links are below.
- Arte no Paint (2003) — MS Paint has always been one of my favorite pieces of software. In addition to making drawings when bored (that's before I got Internet at home, of course!), I actually attempted some photo manipulation, and with the lossy (lousy?) compression it used to save JPGs, the results were in fact quite convincing. So when I had the opportunity to choose a subject for an assignment in the "computer science" class (which included word, excel, some commands of the ms-dos shell, and little more), I quickly chose to make a Paint tutorial. I think it's pretty good, check for yourself! Note: it's in Portuguese.
- O Namoro de A a Z (2001) — Yes, a dating guide for teenagers. I should be embarrassed about this one, but we (it was a group work) actually spent a great deal of time working on it, and I think it's funny and well organized. The "from A to Z" part of the title refers to the approach we took, which dealt with each phase of a relationship from the flirting to the breakup. Quite amusing to read after almost a decade (I was 14 at the time). Also in Portuguese.
